Molpus Returns as GMA's Interim CEO

WASHINGTON — The former president and chief executive officer of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, C. Manly Molpus, will assume the role of interim president and CEO of GMA when Cal Dooley leaves the association for a similar position at the American Chemistry Council in September, GMA said last week. Molpus is currently president of the Molpus Advisory Group. He served as president and CEO of GMA from 1990 to 2006. Plans call for Molpus to serve in the role until Dooley's successor is named.
STAMFORD, Conn. — Daymon Worldwide's vice chairman and immediate past president, Peter Brennan, will retire on Jan. 2, 2009, the company said. Brennan, who has spent 35 years with the company, will remain on Daymon's board of directors. He joined the private-label sales and marketing company in 1973 as a retail representative for Allied Supermarkets and also oversaw Daymon/Loblaw's private-label operations. In 1992 he was named Daymon's first president, and assumed the role of vice chairman of the Daymon Worldwide board of directors last year.
